Sharpen a Kitchen Knife
Students learn a comprehensive sharpening skill set to use at home with clear step by step instructions and theory. Practising on two of their own knives, we cover repairs (typically chipped edges and broken tips), sharpening on Japanese water stones, how to test the edge and long term maintenance of the edge. Students receive a handout to reference at home and advice on appropriate sharpening setups for their knives.

We don’t offer cancellations but we are very happy to swap dates if needed.

Time
5.20pm for a 5.30pm start, through to 7.30pm.
Course Size
We have a maximum of four participants per course which allows for a high level of tuition.
Minimum Age
16 years.
Extreme Weather Days
In the event that a course date falls on a high fire danger day, the course may need to be rescheduled.
